Cutting edge instruction from industry leaders

heather white

Owner/Director

Heather was born in the land of movie and music magic, Burbank, California. Shortly after, she moved to Washington state and was raised in the Seattle area. Heather started her dance journey at eight years old and fell in love with being on stage. She started competing in dance at the age of 12, learning very quickly how much she loved the competitive nature of the sport.

At age 15, Heather started teaching as an assistant This is the moment when she found her true calling. After graduating high school, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in teaching dance. Her greatest feeling of accomplishment comes from being able to mentor and inspire young children and teenagers. Heather wants them to be strong role models themselves and push themselves to their fullest potential, not just in dance, but in life as well.

Heather’s students have gone on to win both regionally and nationally in the competitive dance circuit. With a focus on the fundamental of dance (no matter what style it may be), she proceeds to give the very best to each one of her students.

With over 18 years of dance teaching experience, Heather knew it was time to take the next step and recruit a group of like-minded instructors that see her vision. It is very exciting to take on this next role as “Studio Owner”. While this new role will be challenging, Heather will still be able to teach and mentor a strong and competitive new group of eager dancers. She is very excited to bring you The Company.

In the late 1980’s, she went on to be part of a competitive break dance squad, which projected her into high school dance, where she became a member of the nationally recognized dance team, The Kentridge Chatelaines. She continued to train at dance intensives and conventions, earning scholarships and awards throughout high school and into her adult life.

While attending college at WSU, Miss Deb was a member of the Washington State University dance team during its inaugural year. This team later became known as the Crimson Girls. Upon college graduation, she earned her BA in Hospitality Management with a minor in Marketing, and proceeded to take a job with the Walt Disney Company in Anaheim, California.

After spending much of her young adult life in career jobs, like Disney, Starbucks, Tully’s Coffee, and Red Robin, it was time for her to settle down. Deb began a family and became a preschool teacher, a job she has loved for the past thirteen years.

Throughout her adult life, Miss Deb continued to train in classical ballet, pointe, tap and jazz, and danced with a company well into her forties. During this time Deb also found that her love of dance could be transmitted not only through her own children, but through many other children as well. She began teaching dance ten years ago, and over the past decade has found true meaning in sharing her love for dance with others.

Miss Deb is all about basic technique and fundamentals, and she loves seeing the “ah-ha” moments when a child finally understands a move, skill, or step. Her goal is to create a safe and loving, structured environment for dancers who are beginning their dance trajectory.

Currently Miss Deb teaches preschool in the Dieringer School District, working with many different students. She is married and has three daughters. She is very excited about this new journey with The Company Space and can’t wait to share her passion for dance with others.
