Acro Tumbling

A wide range of gymnastic skills practiced and performed for the stage. Acro also focuses on body contortion and balancing tricks. Tumbling describes the flips used as traveling passes for transitions in dance.

Ballet

Known as the foundation of all technical dance styles, Ballet is a highly precise and formalized dance form with set steps and gestures. With the use of elegant and fluid movement combined with physical strength & articulation, higher levels of Ballet technique progress into the use of pointe shoes. Exercises, combinations & routines are traditionally performed to classical music and are more currently choreographed to a wide range of contemporary classical music.

Contemporary

A genre of dance that has grown to become one of the dominant styles for formally trained dancers and artists. Contemporary dance relies on the raw, physical emotion of the dancer combined with strong technical form. Contemporary combines elements of several dance styles including Jazz, lyrical and Ballet through a range of rigid to fluid movement. Combinations & routines are commonly performed to alternative/singer-song writer & modern classical music.

Fundamentals

A core class geared to leveling up the dancer’s physical attributes through conditioning & technique. This class focuses on stamina, flexibility , strength and exercises/drills developed to work Ballet & Jazz technique. Focuses include: Ballet fundamentals, leg extensions, leaps, turns, progressions, etc.

hip hop

The raw, urban style of dance commonly performed in the dance industry today (I.e. commercials, music videos, concerts, music tours, etc.). Hip Hop refers to street dance styles primarily performed to R&B, Pop and Hip Hop music. It includes a wide range of styles from break dancing to Krump, Jazz Funk to Vogue dance, and everything in between. Hip Hop is known for it’s energetic, raw energy and articulation of movement with music.

jazz

A performance dance technique & style originating in the United States. Jazz dance may refer to traditional Jazz, Broadway or theatrical Jazz, or to the LA-based style Jazz Funk. Jazz is a high energy, technical dance form with a variety of dynamic involving technical ballet skills, body isolations, precise timing and groove.

lyrical

A poetic & expressive dance style that embodies various aspects of Ballet, Jazz dance and acro/tumbling. A strong physical foundation and knowledge of Ballet is certainly required to master this emotional art form. Combinations & routines are commonly performed to smooth pop songs & alternative/singer-song writer music.

musical theatre

Musical Theatre is less of a particular style and more of a description of dancing that originated in the diverse history of Broadway musicals. Relying heavily on a knowledge of Tap, Ballet and Jazz, Musical Theatre dancers are actors who place a high focus on musical interpretation.

tap

A rhythm based dance style performed wearing shoes fitted with metal taps on the toes and heels. Tap shoes are the musical instrument used to perform the intricate steps and rhythms of Tap dance. Originally an art form born in the USA, now is a dance style shared all across the world with music, musical composition, contagious energy & genuine performance as the common core.

I have registered my family and dancers, but i don't see any classes. Am I doing something wrong?

Nope. If you have registered your family and dancer, you are all set. We will do the rest.

When will i know what days my dancer will take in-person classes?

Zoom classes are currently suspended. Should the state guidelines change, we will update this page.

can my dancer take a mix of virtual and in-person classes

All classes are currently in person.
